Special thanks to Schlumberger for donation of academic software licences

1 May 2017

Since 2015, Schlumberger Australia Pty Ltd has supplied master students and researchers within petroleum engineering and petroleum geoscience with access to Schlumberger’s world-class computer modelling software.

It means full exposure to industry-leading software programs, including the Petrel E&P software platform and the ECLISPE industry-reference reservoir simulator, and has an approximate value of 14 million dollars.

This donation of modern computer tools is adding great value to both teaching and research in petroleum engineering and geoscience and is highly appreciated by UQ.

The Centre for Coal Seam Gas would, therefore, like to thank Schlumberger for their valuable support, benefitting both students and staff at the School of Chemical Engineering and the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
